Centipedes are voracious predators with a fearsome reputation for potent venom. However, despite their painful bites and intimidating appearance, these animals make fascinating pets. Many species are also easy to look after, and centipedes can come in a stunning array of colours and patterns.
These centipedes are feared throughout S.E. Asia, and they are also admired by hobbyists. Scolopendra Subspinipes is one of the largest centipede species among the largest on the planet. Some specimens have been measured at an intimidating 14 inches long.
These animals are not for the faint-hearted, but are easy to care for if you know how to keep them.
