Millipedes
Millipedes come in striking colours that make them excellent additions to display vivariums. They live well with springtails and other millipedes and come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colours. As docile detritivores, millipedes also make good pets.
Flat-backed millipedes are a fairly small species that make up for their petite size with stunning colours. They are also easy to care for and breed rapidly.
This species also comes in a variety of colours, some of which are harder to find than other.

They are easy to care for, eating decaying vegetation and some fresh treats. Their appearance makes them an excellent display species.

Despite their name, cyanide millipedes are harmless to people. They can emit hydrogen cyanide as a defense mechanism but not in harmful quantities.
These millipedes only secrete cyanide when they feel threatend and can usually be handled with no side-effects. Their black and yellow coloration also adds a pop to display cases.
